Turtle Island Water Park at Skydancer Casino

Ramaker provided aquatic design and engineering services for the 20,000-square-foot Turtle Island Water Park at Skydancer Casino. Featuring an activity and plunge pool with two tube slides, a lazy river with two spray features, a wading pool with zero-depth entry and a multi-level play stricture, and an elevated spa, this water park honors the area’s tribal heritage. “Turtle Island” is one Native American name for the North American continent and the Skydancer resort sits nestled in the Turtle Mountain area, the center of life for the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians.
In addition to the water park features, the design for this project also included three cabanas, an equipment area, restroom facilities, a lifeguard room, a kitchen/bar area, and the building’s lobby.
