The Rise of Icarus at Mount Olympus

America’s tallest waterslide has officially landed Mount Olympus Resort & Water Park!

This record-breaking water feature opened to the public at the Mt. Olympus Outdoor Waterpark over Memorial Day Weekend in 2024. At 145 ft, The Rise of Icarus is America’s Tallest Waterslide! Guests can test their bravery on one of five body slides or enjoy the adjacent 12,000 sf spray and play area, which features an additional ten water slides and a wading pool for their younger guests!

The World Waterpark Association (WWA) presented Mt. Olympus and project partners Ramaker, WhiteWater, and Holtz Builders, Inc. a Leading Edge Award for their efforts in the design and construction of this innovative waterpark feature. The WWA presents Leading Edge Awards to service providers and suppliers who have introduced new concepts, products, or services that benefit park members, guests, or the waterpark industry at large and to parks that develop new themes, services, or operational concepts.

Additionally, the Rise of Icarus was honored with the Golden Ticket Award for Best New Water Park Ride of 2024 from Amusement Today. Amusement Today’s Golden Ticket Awards honor the “best of the best” in the amusement industry, highlighting the parks and attractions around the world that provide top-notch thrills and entertainment.
