Ramaker is a 100% employee-owned company! Our owners have worked tirelessly to complete thousands of projects internationally – from water parks, to hotels, to cemeteries, to telecommunications – and much, much more! We believe our owners are what makes Ramaker so great, so read below to learn more about Bethany, one of our amazing owners!

Meet an Owner – Rose Kleinert

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WORKING AT RAMAKER?

22 years!

WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT WORKING AT RAMAKER?

I love that the Sauk City office is very close to home. Ramaker has a variety of opportunities and just about anything that might pique your interest, from water slides to soil borings.  When I was hired in 1996, the company was small and still working on Environmental clean-up projects. But I sure learned a lot about fuel spills. Then along came Telecommunications (the cell phone)!

WHAT’S THE MOST INTERESTING THING YOU’VE WORKED ON AT RAMAKER?

PECFA (Petroleum Environmental Clean-Up Fund Act)! I’ve had my hands in a little bit of everything throughout the years; however, the Environmental Department has been my home base and clean-ups were very interesting. I have been a witness to the many changes that have occurred at RAMAKER through the decades, going from a family business to a much larger company, many trials, errors, and talents have passed through the doors. I am thankful to have been a part of it.

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY DOING OUTSIDE OF WORK?

I enjoy finger knitting, making flower arrangements, traveling and working on mission trips. I volunteer at the local food pantry and church functions.

SHARE ONE THING YOU LOVE TO DO THAT YOU GET TO DO NEARLY EVERY DAY?

Wake up, see all my fur babies.

WHAT’S SOMETHING NOT MANY PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT YOU?

My first concert was at the Milwaukee County Stadium (what has now been replaced by Miller Park). In fact, it was the one of the only concerts ever preformed there – the seats, rows, and field were full of people! You could cut the air as the Eagles made their first appearance introducing the headliner, Mick Jagger and The Rolling Stones. I thank my late brother for this once in a lifetime experience and yes, I was a 70’s hippie, enough said…

WHAT TYPE OF MUSIC GETS YOU TO SING ALONG?

I like all kinds of music but Lynyrd Skynyrd, Mick Jagger and even Motown will get me going.

WHAT’S THE BEST ADVICE YOU’VE EVER GOTTEN?

Trust your gut, never take from the hand that feeds you and there are three sides to every story; yours, theirs, and the truth.

WHAT WOULD BE YOUR DREAM VACATION?

In all honesty, I have wanted to go to Hawaii but any type of peaceful place where you can leave your mind and thoughts would be great.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE MEAL?

I could eat breakfast any time of the day, bacon, bacon, bacon! I also love a great filet mignon and noodles.

WHO HAS HAD THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR LIFE?

My Dad – as strict as he was – taught me morals, good work ethics, and common sense. I wish I understood then what I do today. He was a good and honest man.

IF YOU WON THE LOTTERY, WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU’D BUY?

First, I would pay all my debts and then buy a car or a small cabin on a lake.
