Scaling New Heights: Ramaker’s 2024 Highlights

As 2024 comes to a close, we’d like to take a moment to reflect on another remarkable year at Ramaker. Over the past 12 months, we’ve embraced opportunities, tackled challenges, and celebrated milestones that have propelled our growth and success. None of this would have been possible without the dedication and expertise of our employee-owners and the steadfast support of our clients and partners.

This year, Ramaker’s employee-owners continued to deliver exceptional work, reinforcing our reputation as a trusted one-stop shop for architecture and engineering projects. From aquatics and recreation to cemetery, commercial development, hospitality, multifamily development, renewable energy, restaurant and retail, and telecommunications industries, we are proud to serve as a valued partner in shaping thriving communities and innovative spaces.

Exciting Achievements

Ramaker was awarded a Top Workplaces honor by the Wisconsin State Journal for the third year in a row!  This accolade not only highlights the positive and inclusive culture that Ramaker has diligently cultivated but also reinforces its commitment to fostering an environment where every voice is heard, and every contribution is valued. It serves as a testament to the firm’s ongoing dedication to its employee-owners and its unwavering focus on creating a workplace where individuals can flourish and thrive. Over the summer, the Rise of Icarus opened at Mt. Olympus Resort in the Wisconsin Dells! The 145-foot-tall slide tower is America’s tallest waterslide, and the project was awarded two exciting industry awards. The World Waterpark Association (WWA) presented Mt. Olympus and project partners Ramaker, WhiteWater, and Holtz Builders, Inc. a Leading Edge Award for their efforts in the design and construction of this innovative waterpark feature. Additionally, the Rise of Icarus was honored with the Golden Ticket Award for Best New Water Park Ride of 2024 from Amusement Today, an award that highlights the parks and attractions around the world that provide top-notch thrills and entertainment!

Innovative Projects

In addition to the Rise of Icarus, numerous exciting and innovative projects were completed across Ramaker’s market areas. Take a look at our year-in-review video below which highlights some of the year’s most exciting projects.

Culture and Community

Ramaker’s activity committees have worked hard to bring our employee-owners together both virtually and in person! The Activities Committee planned several events throughout the year, including the annual summer picnic and holiday party.

Volleyball is the recreational sport of choice for the many Ramaker employee-owners who participate in local leagues throughout the year! Our Wellness Committee also hosted several health and fitness challenges, including a group mileage challenge, an individual exercise challenge, and a month-long healthy eating strategies challenge.  Challenges and recreational sports have been great ways for our employee-owners to stay connected in a remote working environment.

In October, our ESOP Committee hosted its annual ESOP Breakfast! Ramaker’s employee-owners gathered in our Sauk City office and enjoyed eggs, sausage, orange juice, and pancakes followed by team building games. Additionally, our CSR committee hosted a Koats for Kids drive and non-perishable food drive.

Ramaker also demonstrated its commitment to the communities where the firm’s employee-owners live and work. The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) committee announced the recipients of the fourth annual Ramaker’s 12 Days of Giving, which was introduced in 2020. Throughout December, Ramaker donated to food pantries and community outreach organizations that support local families.
