vintage brewing company wins gold award
ABC of Wisconsin recognized Vintage Brewing Company in Sauk City, Wisconsin as one of their 2018 Projects of Distinction award winners! Ramaker provided architecture and engineering services as well as interior design.
The Vintage opened in January of 2018, and consists of a 3 story building that features a full lower level brewery, large refrigerated beer storage, banquet hall, and large deck/outdoor service area. Ramaker created a unique old factory experience within a new facility. With the exposed steel and wood structure, the different materials used throughout the facility, the use of beer barrel staves for the guard rails and the two-story view of the brewery equipment, it truly provides an amazing experience to all who enter.
Friede & Associates was the General Contractor winning the award. Below is an excerpt from ABC-WI’s publication.
“This project by Friede & Associates included nearly $1 million in concrete and masonry and featured panelized wall construction and faux brick to create a building that looks and feels like it’s from the turn of the century, yet is built with the latest technology. Poor soil conditions and the site’s proximity to the Wisconsin River during record-high water levels created challenges for the project, and installation of the brewery tanks and equipment also required extensive planning and coordination. Special attention was taken throughout the building and equipment design process to consider opportunities for energy efficiency and the overall performance of the building.”
