Work flexibility and the opportunity of working in different projects and engineering challenges.
WHAT’S THE MOST INTERESTING THING YOU’VE WORKED ON AT RAMAKER?
I believe the most interesting project I worked on was one of my first projects, OMA Willowdale, which was a survey in Nebraska at an existing Education Facility. I was new to the survey team and had to learn a lot about it and also fully utilize and expand on my AutoCAD knowledge to deliver a final product.
WHAT’S SOMETHING THAT HAS SURPRISED YOU ABOUT YOUR CHOSEN CAREER PATH?
Diversity of jobs, from architecture to engineering.
WHERE DID YOU GROW UP?
Brazil
WHAT’S YOUR DREAM VACATION?
Besides my Eastern Europe adventure I accomplished last year, I would like to do a Patagonia hike adventure. Also, I would like to travel around the United States in a small aircraft passing through the Rocky Mountains and Key West.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE MEAL?
I love bread and cheeses with a good glass of wine to pair.
WHAT’S SOMETHING NOT MANY PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT YOU?
I did Physics and Mathematics for almost 2 years; I also was a yo-yo champion in my late teens.
HAVE YOU EVER LIVED ANYWHERE OUTSIDE THE MADISON AREA?
Yes, in a few different places. I grew up in Brazil, lived in Utah for a short period of time before settling in the Madison area, also I try to “live” somewhere every other year for at least a month, so I can get a good idea of a culture change.
WHERE DID YOU GO TO SCHOOL, AND WHAT DID YOU GET YOUR DEGREE IN?
Madison College, UW and Wisconsin Aviation. Architectural Technician, commercial pilot.
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY DOING OUTSIDE OF WORK?
I am an avid General aviation pilot. I also build, program and fly drones. On top of that, I mostly travel to exotic locations, work out and work on vehicles and personal projects.
WHAT’S THE BEST THING TO DO ON A DAY OFF?
Go to different destinations around the Midwest in a little airplane.
WHAT‘S YOUR FAVORITE SONG TO SING ALONG TO?
Any Green Day song.
WHO HAS HAD THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR LIFE?
My parents, who taught me how to face challenges in life and also how to fully enjoy it.

A plane ticket to Hawaii, spend a week to free up my mind and decide what to do next.
