Ramaker & Associates provided field surveying services associated with the 2009 Street and Sewer Reconstruction project for the City of Madison Engineering Division.
The project consisted of detailed surveys of 32 city street segments scheduled for improvements during the spring and fall of 2009. These surveys were conducted in strict compliance with the City’s standards. Elevations, parcel information, utility location and general area features were measured to produce a detailed digital terrain model of the areas surveyed. City Engineers and design personnel used the information collected to develop detailed plans for improvements in the inspected areas.
Highway 12 Reconstruction
Ramaker & Associates, Inc. completed Land Surveying and construction layout for the new US Highway 12 reconstruction project. The project involved the reconstruction of the Middleton bypass and fifteen miles of new concrete pavement. This challenging project included staking into bedrock for a large rock cut and other limestone excavations.
Following an ambitious schedule, Ramaker & Associates helped the construction team successfully finish the project on time. GPS equipment used on the project included a Trimble® 5800 Dual Frequency GPS Total Station. The robotic equipment consisted of a Trimble® 5600 Direct Reflex Total Station.
Cranberry Lake Village
Ramaker & Associates provided engineering services required for the development of a proposed 23-acre multi-family residential sub-division in the Village of Warrens. The scope services includes a complete set of construction documents and concept plan, boundary survey, topographic survey, storm water management plan, preliminary plat, and final plat.
A Final Plat was developed defining road right-of-ways, utility easements and individual lots for the area northwest of the existing cranberry village plat. An overall site plan showing the proposed improvements with the topography, grading, storm and utility plans was also developed by Ramaker.
Construction plans and specifications for the construction of site improvements including site grading and storm water management were prepared. Construction staking services, along with construction observation, were provided, as required, for detention pond, street grading, and storm sewer construction.
