Removal of an existing block of rooms created space at this long established hotel/convention center complex for New Mexico’s first indoor waterpark! The 30,000 square foot waterpark addition is available to registered day and overnight guests of the Radisson Hotel. Audio, video, and lighting effects are some of the many amenities enhancing the playful and whimsical art deco aura of this aquatic recreation facility. Water play and leisure attractions include: body and inner tube water slides, a lazy river, an activity pool with waterwalk and basketball, a wading pool with an interactive play feature, an indoor/outdoor spa, a two-person FlowRider, and a hi-resolution water screen for video and image display.
The mezzanine includes the Surf’s Up Snack Shack; Arcadia family entertainment center; and observation seating. A vista of the waterpark and port holes for FlowRider viewing are also available from the mezzanine. The atmosphere in the park is enhanced by the premium air and water quality management system. Generous amounts of fresh air from the energy recovery units and advanced water treatment systems create an enjoyable guest experience.

This new 40,000 square foot indoor waterpark utilizes the latest technologies for energy efficiency, including a translucent Open-Aire building structural system (view video) and a shared heating system between the waterpark and hotel. Country Springs Hotel, Waterpark & Conference Center

The goal of this established resort was to reposition itself in an existing market and attract traffic from the Milwaukee metropolitan area for leisure stops.
Ramaker & Associates designed and engineered an amazing 25,000 square foot indoor waterpark, which is visible from the interstate adjacent to the facility. A railroad depot and natural springs theme draws from the rich local history of the Waukesha area. They were one of the first waterparks to incorporate theatrical lighting to create a great sense of ambiance for their guests.

Ramaker & Associates designed and engineered the 2,500 square foot aquatic facility which includes a 6-lane Olympic Style Lap Pool which is perfect for lap swimming and training. Princeton Club offers water fitness programs using resistance of the water as a training method to soften the impact on joints. Ramaker & Associates also designed and engineered the peaceful therapy pool overlooking the Madison landscape.
Janesville YMCA
Janesville, Wisconsin
Ramaker & Associates designed and engineered the retrofit of the indoor aquatic facility at the Janesville YMCA. The new pool was designed to fit entirely within the basin of the existing lap pool to accommodate existing structural conditions. To increase efficiency, all the pool areas are combined, sharing one filtration system and allowing entrance to any pool through the zero-dept entry.
This 5,500 square foot aquatic center now features a combined activity and lap pool, a zero-depth entry wading pool, and a current channel. The mix of new activities appeals to patrons of all ages and will provide for exercise and therapy uses as well as entertainment.

Wilderness Resort (Indoor & Outdoor Waterparks)

Ramaker & Associates has been an integral team member throughout ten phases of expansion of the impressive Wilderness Resort.
The Wild West Waterpark, with more than 70,000 square feet of fun, features unique rides including the Dells’ only 5-person raging raft ride; a four-story interactive play feature with body slides, cannons, turrets and water blasters; speed slides; indoor/outdoor hot spas; and the Midwest’s only hands-on interactive indoor wave pool complete with “Master Blasters” and depth charges.
Klondike Kavern offers more than 65,000 square feet of nonstop indoor waterpark fun. In 2007, Ramaker & Associates provided a retrofit design to replace the existing play feature. This replacement took place while still maintaining weekend guest operation for the remainder of the waterpark. The new multi-level play feature includes a tipping bucket, a runout body slide, geysers, cannons, and various spray features to entertain children.
Guests at the Wilderness Resort enjoy three outdoor waterparks that span more than nine acres: Lake Wilderness - 40,000 square feet; Lost World Waterpark - 3.2 acres; and New Frontier Waterpark - 110,000 square feet.
The three waterparks feature multiple tube and body slides, speed slides, lazy rivers, waterfalls, spas, and kids’ activity areas including hands on play-and-spray devices. The newest attraction, Lost World Waterpark, is home to an interactive river ride taking guests on everything from raging rapids to lazy river sections and from uphill currents to beach runoffs! This fast river ride will take you both uphill and downhill!

In 2005, Treasure Island Resort joined forces with Mt. Olympus Theme Park to become a major destination in the Wisconsin Dells market.
Ramaker & Associates designed Bay of Dreams, the 50,000 sq. ft. indoor water park and also the recent addition of new high-profile outdoor waterslides, including racing slides and two family raft rides.
Ramaker & Associates also completed design in 2007 for the new 55,000 sq. ft. outdoor surf pool and the grand opening was held in early July!

Kalahari Resort & Convention Center (Indoor & Outdoor Waterparks)

The Wisconsin Association of Consulting Engineers presented an "Engineering Excellence Achievement" award to Ramaker & Associates for the indoor water park at the Kalahari Resort & Convention Center. This $40-million resort complex opened in May 2000 and has the largest indoor water park in the Midwest. They have since doubled the size of the indoor water park in addition to adding a large outdoor aquatic area. This facility includes everything from gentle waves in the wave pool to extreme thrills with the Master Blaster, Flowrider, and other unique waterslides. The outdoor waterpark spans five acres and has had numerous phases of development over the years.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park (Indoor & Outdoor Waterparks)
Warrens, Wisconsin
Attached to Three Bear’s Lodge and Conference Center is Timber Falls, a 48,000 square foot
waterpark that includes a multi-level play feature in a zero-depth entry wading pool, a leisure river, wave pool, two body slides, two tube slides, water wars, indoor spa, activity pool with floatables and basketball hoops, and an indoor/outdoor spa. The mezzanine level includes concessions, theatre, and arcade. There is also a stage above the wave pool with electrical and sound available for future performances – making this one of the first parks adapted for limited night use.
Cranberry Lake Village consists of a vast residential subdivision among the 100 year-old pine trees, with both permanent and vacation homes. The Lillypad outdoor waterpark is near these accommodations. It includes two waterslides, activity pool, kiddie pool with a frog slide and mushroom, game room, snack bar, swimming beach, swan paddle boat rentals and the largest hybrid skatepark in the State of Wisconsin.
Jellystone Campground has a mixture of camp sites to accommodate all kinds of campers.
There are 110 pull-through camper sites, extensive back-in camper sites, and deluxe cabins. Ranger Smith’s Water Town outdoor waterpark is located in close proximity to these various campsites.
Ramaker & Associates provided aquatic design and engineering services for Ranger Smith’s Water Town outdoor waterpark, which includes a wave pool, lazy river, two hot ponds, water wars, activity pool, Yogi Bear’s pic-a-nic basket splash, Boardwalk Café and an entertainment area. Ramaker & Associates’ staff provided overall site and utility design for the pull-through sites. Additionally, Ramaker & Associates designed all water, sanitary, and storm sewer systems for the deluxe cabins and back-in camper sites.
Holiday Inn Select North - Caribbean Cove Indoor Water Park

Ramaker & Associates designed a 30,000 square foot Caribbean-themed indoor water park at this Holiday Inn Select hotel. This is the first indoor water park in Indiana. The water park includes two spas, an activity pool, children’s wading and play pool as well as features two body slides and one tube slide encircled by a leisure river. A raised mezzanine provides a spectacular view overlooking the park and features an arcade and snack bar.

Holiday Inn Maple Grove

Located in the newly developed Arbor Lakes shopping and entertainment district, this stylish Venetian-inspired hotel is fast becoming a Twin Cities’ vacation destination. Nearby shops, restaurants and attractions, plus a luxurious new Venetian 25,000 square foot indoor waterpark exclusively for guests make this the perfect spot for leisure and entertainment.
Families will stay busy with two 4-story water slides, activity pool, kid’s pool and whirlpool spa. A fun-filled arcade and food/beverage concessions are also available for guests. To keep ductwork from detracting from the Venetian ambiance, Ramaker & Associates designed an HVAC system that is completely hidden above the ceiling, so only the thousands of twinkle lights on the ceiling can be seen by guests.
